Warren Delos 9 BIGELOW

15923.6251     Warren Delos 9 Bigelow, son of Johnson Miller 8 ( Loren (Dr.) 7 , Timothy 6 , Isaac 5 , Isaac 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John 1 )  and Mary (Lewis) Bigelow, was born 29 January 1845 in Edinburg, Portage co, OH, and died 21 December 1903 in S.E. part of Adams co., IL.  He married three times: Marriage (1) was to a Miss Hayes (no information to date); Marriage (2) was to Charlotte Eskew; and marriage (3) 29 March 1873 to Louisia Leticia Parcell.  He moved to IL in spring of 1865.  Hayes and Eskew marriages were between 1865 and 1873.  He died of pneumonia contracted when he got over-tired sitting up nights with a sick grandchild.  He was a self-taught school teacher and principal in IL. Dell Albert, b 26 Jan 1870 Barry, IL; d 07 Oct 1948 Kerby, OR; m (1) 13 sept 1891 Harriet Elizabeth Wallis; m (2)  First wife's given name was Maude and the second wife was Minnie.  Minnie and Dell were childhood sweethearts and married after both had lost their first spouses.  Minnie had married Dell's half brother, Elbert Johnson Bigelow, son of Delos and Parcell.  Dell A. had 10 children.

     Hello My ancestor is Dr Loren/Lorin Bigelow. I tried to access his info from the web page but it says item not found. Dr. Loren is the son of Timothy. Dr. Loren's son was Johnson Miller Bigelow a farmer. His son was Warren Delos Bigelow b 1/29/1845 and was a self taught school teacher and principal in Illinois. I have some pages from history books with his info.
Also on my DeWitt side I am related to the Bigelows thru Joshua and Elizabeth Flagg Bigelow. Then Mercy Bigelow and Thomas Garfield. So I am a double Bigelow. Thanks    Marcia Hurlburt Eaton

15923.62519    Warren Leslie 10 Bigelow, son of Warren Delos 9 ( Johnson, Loren, Timothy, Isaac, Isaac, Isaac, Samuel, John) and Louisia Letitia (Parcell) Bigelow, was born 20 Apr 1891 in Illinois, and died 23 May 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK.  He married around 1917-1918, to Lavena Pearl Gass. Before this marriage, he had married to a lady named Mable.  Surname not known.  Mable died during surgery in Aptill Hospital in Newton, KS.  Warren and Lavena are buried in Sunny Lane Cemetery in Oklahoma City.  Lavena Pearl Gass was born to Leonard Lawson Gass and Clara Sloat in Derby, Kansas on January 20, 1901.  She died of senility (later called alzhimers) 14 October 1970 in Griffith Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.  She had remarried around 1954 to Lee J. Carney.

1952-2007
Jeffrey D. Bigelow, 54, of Cheyenne died April 20 at his home.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1952, in Lusk, the son of Warren L. and Dorothy "Dottie" Bigelow.
Jeff graduated from Laramie High School in 1971.
He enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a radioman on a destroyer during the Vietnam conflict.
On Aug. 7, 1973, he married his high-school sweetheart, Cindy Pilnacek in Laramie.
Jeff worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor for 32 years.
He was a member of the United Transportation Union, BR & CF, Elks Lodge No. 660 and American Legion Post No. 6.
He coached youth soccer and baseball. Jeff loved his family, cooking, sports and NASCAR.
Jeff also cherished hosting family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; a daughter, Bonnie Clair; two sons, Kevin Robert and Ryan Jeffrey and his wife, Kim, all of Cheyenne; his mother, Dottie of Powell; three brothers and their wives, Jim and Becky, Jay and Debra, all of Cheyenne, and Jerry and Robin of Encampment; one sister, Sandi Fulton and her husband Phil of Powell; and aunts, uncles, beloved nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Warren L. Bigelow; his grandparents, Del and Dorcas "G.G." Bigelow, and Henry and Emma Ostiguy.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bob Garrard officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.

15923.62515    Lela Maude 10 Bigelow, dau of Warren Delos 9 ( Johnson, Loren, Timothy, Isaac, Isaac, Isaac, Samuel, John) and Louisia Letitia (Parcell) Bigelow, was born 4 Jun 1879 and died 22 Jan 1967 in Emporia, KA, Meadows Rest Home.  She married John Otha DeWitt who was born 27 oct 1876, s/o William Roscoe and Nancy (Parker) DeWitt.  He died 10 January 1953 and was laid to rest 12 January 1953 in Prairie lawn Cem., Peabody, KS with Lela joining him there in 1967.

Obituary Iona Beatrice:
Iona B. Wallace, 89, passed away on July 30, 2020. The daughter of Warren Leslie and Lavena (Gass) Bigelow; Iona was born on April 16, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Iona worked as a bookkeeper for Onie's Bookkeeping Service. She took classes for calligraphy and wrote beautifully. Iona had a gift for remembering everyone's birthday and you were sure to receive a birthday card from her. She was very thoughtful and anyone that met her, loved her. Iona loved flowers and had them everywhere. She was also very creative with sewing and embroidery. Iona especially loved her schnauzer dogs, Hahns, Porche, and Karl.
Iona is survived by her husband of 69 years, Leland Wallace and a host of other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Earl Bigelow.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.

Obituary Earl Roy Bigelow;
Earl Bigelow of San Diego, CA, died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 27, surrounded by his family. Earl was born in Derby, Kansas, on July 23, 1918, son of Warren and Lavena Bigelow. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1944 with a B.A. Degree. He began his first pastorate at Emanuel Baptist Church in Norman, OK, while attending OBU. After being impressed with church needs in California he moved his family there in 1946, attended the Golden Gate Baptist Seminary for three years and pastored multiple churches before his retirement. He continued working with local churches completing over 70 years of service to others. Loving to fish, he established a fishing ministry where he and his wife, Ruby, prepared, cooked, and served hundreds of pounds of fish to churches, recovery programs, homeless, elderly, and others in need. In his last years Earl also helped raise funds for building a new sanctuary for the Centro Shalom Church in Tijuana, Mexico. Earl is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruby, their four daughters Sharon, Karen, Cynthia, and Patricia, their grandchildren Steve, Natalie, Matt, McKenna, Austin, and Morgan, and great-grandchildren Sean, Sammy, Elizabeth, Will, Maizy, and Mack. Also surviving is Earl;s sister, Onie. The family wishes to thank the minister of Earl;s most recent church home, Carl Whitlock, for his continued support of our family. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Pacific Beach Saturday, October 31st, at 11:00 AM.
