co, NY
on 07 March 1827. His first marriage was to Hannah Walcott on
12
October 1853, in Kent co., MI. She was born 14 May 1835 and
died
in February 1861, Gratiot co., MI. On 21 January 1871 he
married
second, in Gratiot co., Medora Bell, daughter of George S.
Bell.
She was born in 1853 in OH and died on 18 November 1876 at Sumner,
Gratiot
co., MI. Her death is also given, on one record, as 12
November 1873
shortly after her youngest child was born. Samuel lived in
Yates
co. to the age of 21, then Yates co. for 5 years and farmed Ottawa
co.
to 1861. Next in Ravenna, MI for 3 years. From 1865-1866
he
was in Canada and then returned to Gratiot co. He also was a
druggist
and implement dealer.
