Calvin D. 7 BIGELOW


16C23.71      Calvin D. 7 BIGELOW, son of Samuel 6 (Ephraim 5 , Elisha 4 , Eleizer 3, Joshua 2, John 1) and Sally (DAVIS) BIGELOW, was born at Lyndon, Caledonia co, VT on 07 August 1830. His marriage, at unknown date, was to Mary A. Sanborn who was born on 11 October 1833. Calvin died at Lyndon on 05 September 1896 and his widow on 17 January 1920 also at Lyndon.

Known child of Calvin and Mary (Sanborn) Bigeiow, there were probably others:

16C23.711    Elisha, b 14 Aug 1857; d 08 July 1923 Lyndon.

     Mentions Calvin Bigelow a few times. Calvin was a neighbor of Vail's in Lyndon, VT along with Charles Folsom, and Amasa Harris. Vail developed Speedwell Farms in Lyndon Center, VT as a cultural and entertainment center of the "Northeast Kingdom".
     During February of 1883, T.N. Vail bought a 250 acre farm from Calvin D. Bigelow.
