BIGELOW, fourth son and eleventh child of Isaac 4 ( Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John 1), and Abigail
(SKINNER) BIGELOW, was born 01 November 1752 at Colchester,
New London county, CT. The family moved to Cornwallis, Nova Scotia
in 1761. We have little information except that when the family
returned to New Hampshire and Vermont during the Revolution, Samuel
settled at Nantucket, MA. He married there on 09 January 1799 Mrs.
Naomi (Gardner) Gardner, widow of Aaron Gardner. She was a daughter
of Reuben and Elizabeth (Vail) Gardner. Samuel died 06 March 1830 at
Nantucket, Nantucket county, MA; his wife died there on 10 April
1838. They had no issue.
