Nov 1752 at Colchester, New London county, CT. The family moved to Cornwallis,
Nova Scotia in 1761. We have little information except that when the family
returned to New Hampshire and Vermont during the Revolution, Samuel settled
at Nantucket, MA. He married there on 9 Jan 1799 Mrs. Naomi (Gardner) Gardner,
widow of Aaron Gardner. She was a daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Vail)
Gardner. Samuel died 6 Mar 1830 at Nantucket, Nantucket county, MA; his
wife died there on 10 Apr 1838. They had no issue.
