Ruth 5 BIGELOW


# 15342       Ruth 5, second child and second daughter of Jedediah 4,( Samuel 3, Samuel 2John1) BIGELOW and Thamezin (NURSE) BIGELOW, was born 25 Sept 1739 at Grafton, Worcester county, MA. The family removed to Douglas. There we find recorded the intention-of-marriage of Andrew COOK, son of Thomas and Sarah, to Ruth BIGELOW, dated 19 March 1759. They had six children recorded at Douglas, after which there are no more records for either.

15342.2    _ce (probably Eunice), daughter born 22 Apr 1762; d in infancy.

15342.3    Eunice, b 25 June 1764.

15342.4    Amy, b 21 Jun 1766, m Elijah Ford. (see below)

15342.5    Anna, b 20 May 1769; d 10 Aug 1847 Galen, Wayne co, NY; m Solomon Ford. 9 children(see below)

15342.6    Hannah, bapt 28 Jan 1776.

Thank you for maintaining such a complete and interesting site!  I am writing to you today in regards to #15342.5 Anna Cook Ford and older sister Amy Cook Ford. Solomon and Elijah are brothers, sons of Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, Andrew of Weymouth MA. Solomon and Anna (nine children) moved to Galen, Wayne, NY in 1805 (now town of Clyde). Anna d. 10 Aug 1847 and is buried in Loch Berlin Cemetary. Their daughter Huldah m. Charles Reed . According to amatuer family geneologists (since deceased) they died before their parents and an Aaron Bigelow was appointed guardian of daughters Emily and Hannah (Betsey) Other families involved were
