and Elizabeth (HILL) BIGELOW, was born at Granville,
Licking
co., OH between 1815 and 1818. He married about 1848 (the Licking
co., courthouse burned in 1875 and again in 1879). This is
another
of the "confused records" category as his wife is listed as Minerva
Case
and the 1850 census gives her age as 28 and born NY, in 1860 census she
was 32 and born in OH. Lorenzo is listed as 26 in 1850 and 38 in
1860. Lorenzo was administrator of his father's estate in 1853
and
of Licking co., OH then. In 1855 he purchased land in Clinton
co.,
IA. He is reported to have been killed in a tornado on 03 June
1860,
but enumerated on census taken on 28 July 1860. After his death,
Minerva married again on 14 January 1863. This marriage was in
Clinton
co. and to Turner Wing. He was appointed guardian of children in
1863.

W. Liberty, IA. Adopted daughter was Mrs. George Burke of
Davenport,
IA in 1925
