14261.    John 5 BIGELOW, son of Joseph 4 (Daniel 3,Daniel2, John1) and Sarah ( STEBBINS) BIGELOW , was born 24 August 1757 in Leicester, Worcester county, MA. He married 29 November 1787 Persis WRIGHT, daughter of Edward and Tryphena WRIGHT (see below); she was born 27 February 1764. John served in the Revolutionary War. They lived a number of years at Leicester, MA, but about 1800 moved to Spencer. In his old age he moved again and died in Worcester on 25 April 1843, age 85 years. His wife Persis died 09 December 1842.

14261.8    Nathan, b 03 Sep 1802 Spencer; d 26 Mar 1851 Worcester, MA; m (1) 24 Mar 1824 Prudence HATHAWAY, who died 1845; (2) 10 Oct 1850 Maria FITZGERALD; res Spencer, MA to 1834, then Circleville, OH to 1850; then returned to Worcester. 7 children.

Addenda:
John (5)'s father, Joseph, lived in Framingham, MA until Joseph reached his majority (age 21) in 1757. It was then, he and his wife moved to Leicester- not Spencer.
Move to Spencer was in 1766 when John (5) was 4 years of age. The first four children of Joseph were thus born in Leicester and the last four children of John (5) and
Sarah?? were undoubtedly born in Spencer. Spencer and Leicester are only about 5 miles apart.

Very nice webpage. John Bigelow (5) married Persis Wright. Persis' father was Edward (b.1720). I descend from Edward's brother Bezaleel (b.1710).
Nice to find cousins out there.
