15923.9 Dimmis 6BIGELOW dau of Isaac 5 ( Isaac 4 , Isaac 3, Samuel2, John l) and Mary (CHAMBERLAIN) BIGELOW, was born 15 July 1778, probably in Vermont. She married, on 11 January 1798, Uriah Wood. He was born 25 December 1774. They migrated from New York state to Union county, OH. He died 15 July 1826, and is buried in Bigelow Pioneer cemetery, Madison county, OH. She died 1845. Their residence in NY State appears to be Balston Spa, NY, which is near Saratoga Springs.

15923.A3 Mary Volitta, b 3 Apr 1806; d 29 Apr 1806.
15923.A4 Mary Cynthia, b 25 Oct 1809; d ____ ; m (1)___ Parthemore; (2) U.S. Alden. No Issue.
15923.A5 Russell, died young.

I am looking for any information on the parents of Dimmis Bigelow
whom,I believe, were Isaac Bigelow, Jr. and Mary Chamberlain. Dimmis was
my great,great,great grandmother, and I am especially interested in where
she and her parents lived before going to Ohio and where she might have
met and married Uriah Wood. Is there any idea where Dimmis and Uriah were
married? Also, do I understand that the family first moved to Union County,
Ohio, and then to Madison
County. I have been to the Bigelow cemetery in Madison County, it was
a very moving spot on the prairie.
