I don't know if my informations will be useful for the Bigelow website.
I think that I know some children and their families about Silvius Hoard,
who was the 2d son of Samuel Hoar and Deborah Bigelow. It seems that Silvius
was not a daughter
but a son. He married Nancy Mary de Villers (1796-1873) who died in Oswegatchie,
St Lawrence Co, NY. She was the eldest daughter of my "cousin" Lewis de Villers
(Louis Charles Aimé Lefebvre de Villers was his complete french name),
who came from France with Rochambeau and never came back, and of Sarah Kinne.
I give you below some abstracts of documents with Silvius Hoard:
HISTORY OF ST. LAWRENCE CO.,NY p. 327
The first settlement was made under the direction of Daniel Hoard, as
agent for Mr. David Parish. He and his brother, Silvius Hoard, natives of
Springfield, Vermont, had been brought to the notice of Mr. Parish by General
Lewis R. Morris of Springfield,VT, and both brothers were employed as agents,
David at Parishville,NY and Silvius at Antwerp,NY. Parishville
was surveyed by Joseph Crary in the fall of 1809. Mr. Hoard that fall
also surveyed and cut a road from the Potsdam line to the site of Parishville
village, which is known as the Luke Brown road , or Potsdam turnpike. Mr.
Hoard returned to Vermont for the winter, and came again in April, 1810,
in company with Luke Brown, Isaac Tower, and Hartwell SHUTTUCK, from
Springfied,VT and Levi Sawyer from MA. They were employeed during the
summer in clearing lands, and during the season chopped about seventy acres,
and cleared forty on the site of the village.

Subject: Ezra and Deborah (Bigelow) Holden
From: Beverly Barnhart < email@example.com >
My name is Beverly Barnhart. I have been researching my family,
which through a long line leads back to Ezra and Deborah Bigelow Holden.
Their son Ezra Shattuck married Elizabeth Davis, who is my 3 greats grandmother.
I don't know if you are interested, but I have her birth and death date,
as well as Ezra Shattuck's as well as pictures. Are you interested
in these to have posted on your site? I also have pictures of Elizabeth's
parents, Jason and Martha (Phillips) Davis, and Ezra and Elizabeth's children.
(They had nine, only four living to adulthood.) I also have pictures
that are unidentified, am curious if you know of anyone who might help me.
They are somehow associated with the Holdens. I also have pictures
of Joseph and Susan (Brown) Holden, who was Ezra Shattuck's brother.
Do you have pictures of Deborah and Ezra or any of their kids, besides
Ezra S. and Joseph? Also do you have any info regarding Ezra and
Deborah, besides birth and death info, maybe an obit (may be too soon for
that) Anyway, if there is anything I can do for you, let me
Beverly sent me many pictures and Genealogies of Family: Bigelow/Baguley, Holden, Flagg, Darby, Davis
See family links previous for this info and pictures.....................ROD
