Betsey 6 BIGELOW

 16228.5     Betsey 6  BIGELOW, dau of  Joel 5 ( Benjamin 4 , Jonathan 3 , Joshua 2, John 1), and Abigail (CALL) BIGELOW, was born 21 Dec 1783 in Springfield, Windsor county, VT. She married, circa 1812 in Salisbury, VT, Joshua Seaver; he was born Brookline, NH 1769. They settled in Salisbury, where he died 9 June 1865. About l855 she moved to Malone, NY, where she died 9 Feb 1866.

16228.51     Esther, b 1814; d 1825.

16228.52     Joan P., b 1817; m ca 1851 or 1852 Silas Stevens; with their two children, they sailed from Boston for Texas Oct 1860. All on board were lost.

16228.53     James B., b 1819; d 1 Dec 1884 Dickinson Centre, NY; m 1844 Jane Perkins; res Dickinson Centre, NY.

16228.54     Lucelia A., b 1821; d 1853 East Brookfield, MA; m May 1844 Joshua E. Bemis, who died ca 1851 or 1852, leaving two daughters; res East Brookfield, MA.

16228.55     Joel J., b 17 Dec 1823; living 1889; m 1849 (Malone, NY) Ann Eliza Brown, b 1824, d 7 May 1869; (2)1870 Mary K Hadley of Westville, NY. He served as Colonel of the l6th Regt NY Vols in the Civil War, and was associated with his brother John K. in publishing the Malone Palladium; res Malone, NY. Children by first wife:

                       b. Albert H., b 29 Apr 1859.
                       c. Herbert H.

16228.56     John K., b 22 Apr 1826; 1889 res Malone, NY; publisher of Malone Palladium; m 8 Dec 1848 Harriet Newell Moore of Stratham, NH; res Malone, NY, and had:
                       a. Milton, b 4 July 1850; d 24 Aug 1850.
                       b. Olin Julian, b 9 Aug 1851; d 9 Mar 1883; m (1)25 Dec 1873 Martha Lovell, b 1856,d 15 Mar 1876;
                           (2) Jun 1879 Rose L. Elliot of Boston. Children:
                                  1. Mattie, b 9 Feb 1876; res Malone with her grandparents.
                                  2. Elliot Olin, b 25 July 1881; res with his mother West Medford, MA.
