Jabez 4 BIGELOW
16C5 Jabez 4 BIGELOW,
son of Eleazer 3 ( Joshua 2, (John 1),
and Mary (FISKE) BIGELOW, was born 19 Dec 1736 in Watertown, Middlesex
county, MA. When he was a boy, his family moved to Westminster, MA, where
he lived the remainder of his life. He served in the Revolution, with the
rank of Lieutenant. On 5 Oct 1760 in Shrewsbury, MA he married Deborah
Knowlton (see below) of Shrewsbury; she was born
23 Dec 1734, daughter of Ezekiel and Susanna (Morgan) Knowlton (see below).. Jabez was a leading man in Westminster,
serving as selectman 1779-1781, also as assessor, and other town offices.
He died at Westminster 13 Aug 1822, his wife Deborah having died 22 Feb l816.
