Robert Peters

The following information was related to me by my grandmother; Pearl Eleanor HOFF. 
She remarks below that Robert Peters lived with her "Granpa folks". This would be Cyrus L. HALL

(Note with Photo; substitute "whip" for "lick")
Robert Peters; He lived with Granpa folks many years; died with them.
he was a slave and ran away. his master hung him up by his thumbs an licked him
with apple tree limbs across a Barrel because he would not - lick other slaves.
