Bigelow, son of Edward E. 9 (Francis (Frank)
Ogilvie, Samuel, Samuel, Silas, David, Daniel, Joshua, John) and Ruth
R. (Robertson) Bigelow, was born at Roxbury, Suffolk co., MA on 28
April 1931. He married 05 September 1953 to Mary E. Dodge, daughter of
Richard E. and Annie (Burns) Dodge who married 07 October 1933 in
Bridgton, Maine. Philip attended college at Portland Maine Junior
College and became cashier for Patterson Wynde
& Windebrine, Boston, MA. Philip died 01 November 2004 in Portland,
at age 73. (see below)

WINDHAM - Philip E. BIGELOW, 73, of Roosevelt Trail, died unexpectedly
Nov. 1, 2004 at a Portland hospital.
He was born in Boston, Mass., the son of Edward E. and Ruth (ROBERTSON)
BIGELOW. He attended Bridgton Academy, graduating in 1951. After high
school, he attended the former Portland Junior College, graduating from
there in 1953.
Philip was employed for many years as an accounting manager for the
former Patterson, Wylde and Windeler Insurance Company, of Boston. In
1970, he
moved to Windham, starting his own accounting and tax practice.
He was a member of the Maine and National Associations of Public
Accountants.
Mr. BIGELOW was an avid golfer, playing on average of three times a
week; he was a member of the Summit Golf Course, in Poland. Phil
participated
in numerous leagues and tournaments over the years.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Mary E. (DODGE) BIGELOW of Windham;
two sons, Philip E. BIGELOW Jr. and his wife Carol of Lewis ton, and
Richard C. BIGELOW and his wife Judy, of Silver Springs, Md.; a
daughter, Ruth E. HERBERT and her husband Wayne ofLimington; and six
grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at
the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham, where a funeral will
be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Saturday, November 6,2004 In the Portland
Press Herald.
Funeral from the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home Saturday Feb. 10th at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St Columbkille Church at 9am. Visiting hours Friday Feb. 9th from 4-8 PM. Interment Holyhood Cemetery Brookline.
