Subject: My Family History
Hi Rod: my name is Linda (Bigelow) Birge. I am the
daughter of Frank Ashley Bigelow,
granddaughter of Frank Edgar Bigelow and great granddaughter of Ashley
Smith Bigelow. I own the mining property that Ashley and his sons
originally took mining claims out on. My Dad had the property
patented in about 1950 so it is no longer a claim, but owned
outright. I may be able to help you with information on my
father's family. I finally relocated the old family gravesite in
Nevada City where Ashley S., Caroline A and 3 of their sons are buried
(Garret, Thomas and Chester). I know Garret's only son, Forrest,
died in the 1950's in Sacramento, but I'm unable to find any
records.
