My family line is John, Joshua, Ebenezer, Moses, Moses, Horace,
Isaac, Admiral, Perley, Vera. I am looking for more info on Issac
& Rosina,
my gggrandparents. I know they had children other than my
ggrandfather,
Admiral Manly, but I don't have any names, b, m, and d dates.
After
Isaac's death in 1889 in Dayton, WA, Rosina went to MN where she died
in
1900. I have no information about her family, the Elliotts. I
found
that the 'Bigelow boys' purchased Isaac's cemetery plot in WA. I
also
have photos that my grandmother labeled as her 'aunt and uncles on
Daddy's
side of the family.' Any information you can provide is
appreciated.

I have a picture that I would like to share with the descendents of Wilsie
W. Bigelow. Without your information I wouldn't have
identified the family. The photo is of a home and looks like it
was taken around 1900. On the back is a printed gummed label with
someone's handwritingreading "Residence of" and printed on the label is
"W. W. BIGELOW, Druggist, New Auburn,
Minn." In my grandmother's handwriting is written, "Uncle." If
you
think this is worthy enough please post on the BB.
Maybe someone would like a print. Thanks again. Janet Enloe

Hi Rod,
I have seen the work you have been doing on the Bigelow family.
In
my search for my great grandfather
George W. Smith, I found him in Stearns county,Minnesota with first
wife
Charlotte Bigelow. Her father was
Isaac W. Bigelow aged 58 in 1880 and born in New York. Charlotte
had
a brother Horace E., another brother
James, sisters Nettie and May. I'm sure there were other's but
have
not found Isaac on a earlier census. Isaac
W. Bigelow was a late entry into the civil war, aged 41 when he joined
up.
I have sent for his military papers in
hopes it gives a list of his children and where he moved to and
from. He was a quartermaster for Co. G. 14th
Heavy Arty. NY.
My question is..., is it possible that he might be a son of Erastus
Bigelow,
a brother to Horace Ransom
Bigelow? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Sincerely, Sylvia Anderson [desc of Geo. W. Smith and 2nd
wife]

Enclosed is a time line of sorts for the family of Isaac
W.
Bigelow taken from his pension files. Most were applications for
pay
increase and medical examinations. There was no mention of
children/dependents and only the one reference to his wife
Rosina. It is possible that he
and his wife Rosina were seperated or divorced, they do not show up
together
in 1880 and Isaac seems to have wandered westward to where his elders
son's
were living, while his wife was in Minnesota. Sylvia Trotter
