greetings, cousin Rod Bigelow,
regarding the Bigelow Society page, Sarah (6) Bigelow
from our family records -
the parents of Whiting Hudson were Eli Hudson and Eunice Chase.
middle initial for son Alfred is C, as in Alfred Casca Hudson.
all the other data you have on Sarah's page is identical to what is written in the family record pages of the Whiting Hudson family Bible.
daughter Lucy had a middle initial, but did not care for it, and removed it from all the records we have, including cutting it out of the family records page of the Hudson Bible.
Lucy and husband George Lea remained in Tomah for a time, having four children, and then removed to Cottage Grove, OR where the George Lea house remains standing.
we are descended from them.
delighted to find your website!
More:
one more thing - I haven't seen the source material, but a neice tells me she has it, that Whiting Hudson and Sarah Bigelow Hudson were the first white settlers in Muckwanago, which was then indian territory, that they lived in a teepee, and that daughter Lucy Hudson was born there in the teepee.
we have a Whiting Hudson/Sarah Bigelow family photo with children.
we have lots of info on daughter Lucy's descendants, but they don't have the Bigelow name.
