An article in Forge asked of this Joseph "did he marry and have a family in the east" when he married 1814 to Nancy Cheney, much younger than he, when he was in Kentucky and she was very young. They lived in Mason and Bracken Counties, Kentucky and had 3 children--with Nancy. This Joseph Bigelow, #14262 R5485, was son of Joseph (Daniel, Daniel, John)
and Sarah Stebbins) Bigelow, was born 6 Dec 1759 in Spencer MA. He served in the Revolutionary war, filling in for his injured brother James. After the war,he turned up in Mason County KY where he served in the war of 1812. He married Nancy Cheney, b. about 1790, possibly a d/o James and Sarah (Waters) Cheney. They had 3 children born in Mason co., after which they moved to Bracken co., where Joseph died about 1833. His widow appears as head-of-family through 1850, but appears to have died before 1860.

or Fleming co., KY, and asks if he is the same as the Joseph who married Nancy
