12391    Jabez 5 BIGELOW, son of  Jonathan 4 ( John 3, Jonathan2, John1) , and Sarah (LADD?) BIGELOW, was born 31 May 1758 in Whippany, NJ. He is listed on a 1783 list of taxpayers in NJ. About 1783 he married Sally POTTER, born 1762. As early as 1776 Jabez signed the Pequannoc Remonstrance, and served in the Revolutionary War. In 1790 he is on the census at Halfmoontown, Albany county, NY, which is now Saratoga county. In 1800 he was in Oneida county, with the following: 1 male and 2 females under age 10, 2 males age 10-16, and parents aged 26 & 45. In 1820 he was at Coventry in Chenango county. He applied for a Revolutionary War pension, and collected it. In 1838 he wrote a letter from Chenango county to his children in Cuba, NY, in which letter he made reference to his pension, as well as to family members, and to his own approaching death.    Jabez was b 31 May 1758 in Whippany,NJ and marr Sally Potter.Ended up in Coventry,Chenango Co,NY where he likely d aft
1838. The Bigelow Society, in their Vol 1,Six Generations of Descendants of John Bigelow (1617-1703) of Watertowm,MA
lists Jabez on pg 89 and says he was the son of one the sons of John, gen 3. However after finding all of this John's sons on the
internet with a seemingly complete list of their sons, Jabez doesn't appear.
Any clarification available on who Jabez's father was?
His sons, John and Myron settled in nearby Cuba, Allegany, NY and are part of a large Gedcom I'm building on local early
settlers and their relations (currently containing some 48000 intrarelated people).
  Happy to share data.
