Joshua ⁴ BIGELOW

16B3    Joshua ⁴ BIGELOW, son of Gershom ³( Joshua², John¹), and Rachel (GALE) BIGELOW, was born 19 Dec 1728 at Weston, Middlesex co, MA. The family moved to Auburn and Sutton in Worcester county. At the latter he married on 28 Jan 1753 Elizabeth STIMPSON, daughter of _____ and Hannah (____) STIMPSON. Elizabeth died the following year. At Joshua's death, his estate was appraised on 2 Sep 1758, and valued at £9-8-8, his widow administering. After her death, their child was raised by the maternal grandmother and her second husband, Amos WAIT, and one time was warned out of town.

Only known child of Joshua and Elizabeth (STIMPSON) BIGELOW:

16B31.      Eunice, b 7 July 1754 Sutton, MA; was living VT 1840; m 8 Sep 1772 at Sutton, Samuel WOODWARD, Rev soldier. 14 children. This marriage is incorrectly described in Howe's Bigelow genealogy as that of Eunice BIGELOW, sister of Jabez, 16B3.
