BIGELOW,
was born 07 October 1846 at Franklin, Oakland, MI. He served in the
Civil War in Co. A, 5th MI Cav.(see below) at
Gettysburg,
Boonesboro, Hagerstown, Williamsport, Falling Water and South
Mountain.
After the war, he married Susan Adeline Drake on 13 February
1866/67. His
obituary says marriage was on 13 January 1870. He was a carpenter,
farmer and gristmill/sawmill operator and died at Williamston,
Ingham,
MI on 09 December
1914. His widow died there on 11 October 1918. Both are buried in
Summit
cemetery, Williamston. (see below)
Records state he had three children, but we have limited data on
only
one child of Hamilton and Susan (Drake) Bigelow:
