(HASTINGS) BIGELOW, was born 10 April 1727 at Weston, Middlesex county,
MA. He married at Cambridge 28 March 1753, MA Margaret Gates, daughter of
Jonathan and Persis (Shepard) Gates. She was born at Cambridge, MA 27 August
1721. They lived at Athol, MA until their later years, when they moved to
Brattleborough, VT to live with their daughter Esther. William died at Brattleborough
13 February 1815 (another source has July); his wife Margaret died there
15 February 1812 age 91 years.
1790 census: MA-Worsester-Athol-William Bigelow: 1-0-1-0-0.
