# 1538. Amariah 4, son of Samuel 3 ( Samuel
2, John 1) BIGELOW and
Mary (GLEASON) BIGELOW, was born Marlborough, Middlesex county, MA,
14 September 1733. He married (1) 14 April 1747 Lydia BRIGHAM, daughter of
Thomas and Sarah (STRATTON) BRIGHAM, born 14 March 1722 Marlborough. They
moved to Shrewsbury, where his wife died 17 March 1748, leaving one child.
Amariah married (2) 1752 Sarah EVELETH of Stow, MA. Amariah lived in that
portion of Shrewsbury later known as West Boylston where he was a leading
citizen, and was selectman and assessor several terms, as well as deacon of
the north parish. He drew up his will 01 March 1780, mentioning wife Sarah,
sons Francis, Abel, Levi, and Elnathan; daughter Lydia, wife of Fisk HOWE,
and daughter Sarah. Wife Sarah and son Abel were appointed executors. He died
08 March 1780, and his wife Sarah on 02 June 1798, aged 66 years, 8 mos, 12
days.

15383. Abel, b 27 Jan 1755; d 14 Oct 1821 West Boylston; m 01 Oct 1778 Martha BIGELOW-- 151312; res West Boylston; 7 children.
15384. Amariah (Dr.), b 23 Mar 1757; d 12 Oct 1787 West Boylston; m 1781 Persis BEAMAN. 4 children, the last born posthumously.
15385. Sarah, b 13 Aug 1759; d ___ ; m 03 Oct 1781 Rev. Eleazer FAIRBANKS of Boylston. Family unknown.
15386. Levi, b 31 Mar 1762; d 20 Sept 1764.
15387. Levi, b 27 Aug 1765; d 09 Feb 1833; unmarried.
15388. Elnathan, b 09 Sept 1767; d ___ ; m 25 Nov 1804 Sarah F. SEAWARD; said to have had issue. At one time he petitioned for citizenship in Canada, lived at one time Portsmouth, NH.
