15133.291    William Andrew 8 BIGELOW, son of  William Pitt 7 ( Andrew 6, Charles 5 , Joseph 4,John 3, Samuel 2, John 1 and Anna (NEWTON) BIGELOW, was born at Worcester, Worcester co, MA on 18 January 1833. He married Catherine Eliza Lansing the daughter of Wendell and Catherine (Herrington) Lansing on unknown date. Catherine "Kate" was born 17 Nov 1849 and died 29 Aug 1921 (aged 71). William died 02 August 1901(aged 69). They resided in Plattsburgh, Clinton co, NY.William and Catherine may have divorced, because she married (2) David Howell Davis (1859-1947)(below)

HIGHLANDS, N.J. -- Mabel Isyl (Ike) (nee Bigelow) Prunty, age 96, passed on to heaven on June 2, 2008, at Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford, N.J. She is survived by one sister, Loris (Bigelow) Wood of Plattsburgh. N.Y.
     Surviving are her four children, Eleanor May (Prunty) Flynn, Ely of Naples, Fla., Howard Frank Prunty of Mesa, Ariz., Caryl Ann (Prunty) Winter Richenburg of Bogota, N.J., and Martha Lee (Prunty) Lum of Paterson, N.J.; her 13 grandchildren are: Alfred Joseph Flynn of Highland Lakes, N.J., Thomas Michael Flynn of Catawba, N.C., Virginia Ann Flynn Sarraf of Broomfield, Colo., Martin Daniel Winter and William Mark Winter of Northport, Fla., Susan Doreen (Winter) Schilling and John Paul Winter of Bogota, N.J., Gary Michael Lum of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Catherine Mary (Lum) Harris of Garfield, N.J., Jennifer Marie Lum of Paterson, N.J. She also has been blessed with two great-great-grandchildren.
     Mabel was fearsomely proud and protective of her children wanting only the best for them and striving to afford them every opportunity to get ahead in life that she could provide forgoing her own needs. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember the many parties, holiday get togethers and especially the Piñata parties at Easter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard F. Prunty in May 1987; and also predeceased by her parents, Myrtle L. Bigelow, Wendell Lansing Bigelow; and her four sisters, Kathryn E. Bigelow Wilson, Merlyn Genevieve Bigelow Williams, Ethel M. Bigelow Beck and Ruth K. Bigelow Moulton.
     The funeral service will be at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J., on Thursday at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Private cremation and interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery Vernon, N.J.

PLATTSBURGH -- Lorris L. Wood, 93, of the Wallace Hill Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center.
Mrs. Wood was born in Plattsburgh on March 19, 1915, the daughter of Wendell and Myrtle (Kent) Bigelow. She married Exire O. Wood in Plattsburgh in 1934; he died in 1964.
Mrs. Wood supported and enjoyed the work of the Salvation Army and loved bird watching.
She was a 1933 graduate of Plattsburgh High School. Mrs. Wood worked at S.S. Kresges for 10 years, where she was known as "the Donut Lady;" then she was employed by Image Wear by Rollins on Margaret Street for 10 years.
Survivors include one son, William "Buzzy" Wood of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Lorris "Patty" Bowker of Green Island, Fla., and Virginia "Ginny" Larabee of Plattsburgh; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Five sisters, Kathryn Wilson, Genevieve Williams-Averil, Ethel Beck, Ruth Moulton and Isyl Mabel Prunty, all died earlier.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service.
Burial will be in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
