Richardson 6 BIGELOW

15197.7    Richardson 6 BIGELOW, son of Joel 5 ( Jotham 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Sarah (STOWELL ) BIGELOW, was born 5 Oct 1785 at Guilford, Windham county, VT. He married, on 27 May 1809 at Lancaster, MA, Mrs. Sarah Hall. He was engaged in trade in Guilford and died there 25 Jan 1812. Prior to his death, Guilford town records state the following:

"We, Selectman of Guilford do find that he the said [Richardson] Bigelow is visited with mental derangement and debility, and that in our opinion he is incapable of taking care of his person and his estate." --dated 27 Nov 1811.

Sarah his widow died 3 July 1819, aged 35 years.
Only child of Richardson and Sarah Bigelow:

1597.71      Elizabeth Augusta.
