The Horseshoe

This is a site near Pennekamp Preserve. Photos by Rod 29 Mar 04 in about 20 feet water.

fireworm46c.jpg  is a Fireworm; TOXIC; several similar species with sharp bristles; 3-6 inches;
They are segmented worms (Annelida) related to the Feather Duster Worms and the extinct Trilobites;
stoparr48.jpg appears to be a female or transitional form of the Stoplight Parrotfish..............
queparr50c.jpg  appears to be the Queen Parrotfish ; judging from markings around mouth .............
