This is a Scrawled Filefish about 30 inches. Photo by Rod 13 Mar 04 in about 20 feet water.
Location was North-North Dry Rocks, Key Largo.

Aluterus scriptus

Covered with blue to blue-green spots; irregular lines and black dots; Elongated body with long, broom-like tail; Notice the long file-like spine above and slightly behind the eye in scrfile12b.jpg .....
