Comments: I am the 10th generation grandchild of John Bigelow. During my
family research I discovered that Abigail Bigelow
(John's daughter) married Benjamin Harrington and had a daughter Abigail Harrington.
Abigail Harrington married John
Mirick. The Mirick family married into the Stuart family in the 1800's in
Sterling, Massachusetts. My family were noteworthy
furniture builders. My great-grandfather founded a furniture company called
Temple-Stuart Furniture Co. The company at
one time was the largest private furniture company in the United States. A
decade ago the company was sold to a Canadian
company and my family is no longer involved in the day to day operations.
It is very interesting to tie ancestry back to a
common link. This is my first visit to your web site. Feel free to contact
me via my email address. Regards,

Further comments:
The web site was a wonderful source of information which assisted me greatly.
Since my interest in geneolgy has increased I have been able to tie my family
back to many fine families such as the Bigelow's. The Bigelow family
tree now includes the Stuart's! My direct Stuart ancestry follows a
similar pattern of the Bigelow's. Two brother's (Alexander and Duncan Stuart
or Stewart) came to the Bay Colony in the early 1650's. They
landed in Ipswich, Massachusetts and their lineage was traced through the
towns of Ipswich, Newbury, Byfield, Lancaster, Sterling, Princeton, and Gardner
Massachusetts. I am the first generation to leave Massachusetts. I
have also traced my family back through the Mirick (or spelled Myrick, Merrick)
as well. That was how I was able to trace back to John Bigelow.
It is fun to find some long lost cousins (many times removed).
